Dog Walking & Minding
How long are your walks / visits?

Most of our sessions run 45 or 90 minutes, depending on your dog’s needs, energy levels, and your preferences. We’ll discuss the best fit during our initial chat.
Do you walk in wet weather?
Safety first! We walk in light rain or cooler weather (with jackets if needed), but in extreme heat, storms or unsafe conditions, we adapt the visit—swapping for play, enrichment or indoor stimulation during house visits.

Do you offer Group walks?
Nope! We focus on one-on-one, personalised sessions. However, I may bring one of my dogs with me every now and then.

Do you mind reactive dogs?
It depends—we take a case-by-case approach. The meet and greet is an important step where we can get to know your dog and assess whether we’re the right match. If we feel confident we can support your dog safely and positively, we’ll tailor the care accordingly. If not, we’ll always be honest and may be able to recommend an alternative.

How do I pay?
Via bank transfer or cash. You’ll receive payment info when your service is confirmed.

What does a wedding dog attendant do?

A wedding dog chaperone takes care of your dog’s needs before, during and after the wedding, so you and your guests can enjoy the celebration without additional responsibility. At Oscar Meets Hugo, this can include transport, toileting, exercise, guest greeting, ceremony support, photography and settling your dog back home or into pet-friendly accommodation. Every booking is planned around your dog’s personality, comfort and involvement in the day.
How far in advance should I book a wedding dog attendant?

We recommend booking your wedding dog attendant as early as possible, particularly if your wedding is during a busy time of year.
Wedding dates can book out well in advance, and giving us plenty of notice means we can make sure we’re available for your date and allow enough time to get to know you and your dog before the big day.
Ideally, get in touch as soon as you have your wedding date and venue confirmed. We can then arrange a meet & greet, talk through your plans and create a care plan that works for you, your dog and your wedding schedule.
That said, if your wedding is coming up soon, don't worry! Get in touch and we'll let you know what availability we have.
Do you transport dogs to and from weddings?

Yes, dog transport to and from your wedding can be included in your wedding dog attendance service, depending on your location and the arrangements for the day.
We can discuss the best option for getting your dog safely to the wedding venue and, where required, arranging their return home or handover to a nominated person afterwards.
Every wedding is different, so we'll plan the logistics with you in advance, including collection and drop-off locations, timing, your dog's needs and the venue's requirements.
The goal is to make having your dog at your wedding as easy and stress-free as possible, without you or your wedding party needing to worry about transport on the day.
How much does wedding dog attendance cost?

The cost of wedding dog attendance depends on what you need on the day.
Every wedding is different, so we provide a personalised quote based on factors such as:

What happens if my dog becomes overwhelmed?

Your dog's wellbeing always comes first.
Weddings can be exciting and sometimes overwhelming for dogs. There are unfamiliar people, new surroundings, music, cameras, food and lots of activity happening around them.
That's why we keep a close eye on your dog's body language and behaviour throughout their time with us. If they're becoming tired, anxious or overwhelmed, we'll give them space and remove them from the situation rather than expecting them to continue participating.
Depending on your agreed plan, this might mean taking them somewhere quiet for a break, going for a short walk, returning them home, or arranging an early handover to their nominated person.
We'll also discuss your dog's personality, triggers, comfort levels and normal routine during your planning and meet & greet, so we can recognise what is normal for them and what might indicate that they need a break.
Your dog doesn't need to be involved in every moment of your wedding to be part of your special day. Our job is to help them enjoy the experience while making sure they remain comfortable, safe and happy.
